Our little chunkster has aced another clinic visit!

Sienna has continued to pack on the pounds and impress her CF team.  She weighed in at just over 14 pounds, which is a 2 pound gain over last month.  She's actually in the 97th percentile for weight!

I was hoping her team would have had a little more information on her newly identified gene mutation this visit, but it looks like they don't know anymore than we do at this point.  They are hopeful that we will learn more at our visit with a genetics counselor next week.  

What we did learn is that the "duplication of exon 22" is too rare to be classified as a CF causing mutation, so even though she exhibits symptoms of CF (saltiness and low pancreatic elastase), she is still only diagnosed as "likely has CF".  Her Pulmonologist continues to think that this gene combination will equal a milder case of CF, which is of course encouraging.
